Victoria Hayden Gilmore loves her little family. She loves her book-obsessed, brilliant twin sister Rory, her sarcastic yet caring mother Lorelai, and the quiet, close-knit life they've built together in Stars Hollow. But when the sisters transfer from their ordinary public high school to the prestigious Chilton private school, their lives changes completely. While Rory always tries to see the good in everyone, Victoria views the world with far more skepticism. Between debate competitions, new friendships, and some of America's most influential families (to which they apparently belong to) the sisters must find their own place. Do they feel the pain Of the cold instrument as it intrudes upon their first and only home? Do they feel it clutch at them? Why is the world's cruelty the first thing to hold their hand? Do they feel unwanted or unloved As pain rips through their tiny body? Do they feel alone? Do they feel cheated? Can You hear their cries in Heaven? ... Are You there with them through it all? Can You stop their suffering? Do You hold them close and whisper in their ear so they know love does exist? Do You tell them about those who mourn for them?
