This story is based on around modern-day Parisian teenagers Marinette Dupain-Cheng, Luka Couffaine, and Shira Sharma who transform into superheroes when evil arises. Marinette, Luka, and Shira transform into their respective superhero personas, Ladybug, Black Shadow, and Luna Huntress respectively, using magical jeweled objects known as the Miraculous. They went as far as adding new superheroes to their team.
