When I was little my mother always told me to never show emotion. She told me to lock away things that hurt me. To imagine a drawer in my head, with a big brass lock. To take my heartbreaks and lock them away. For years I have done this. Now, I have a full drawer of broken hearts, and the lock is starting to strain. Tilly has always locked up her emotions, but when she meets a mysterious boy, will he wear away the lock on her drawer of broken hearts, and get her to open up again?
