Katniss Everdeen is 17, she's lived in district 4 her whole life. Finally, after 5 years of neglect, her mother finally decides to take the girls and move to district 12 for a fresh start.

in a alternate outcome of katniss's rebellion, she failed and was hung by president snow on the hanging tree. She hangs there still today as a reminder to the districts that the capitol is superior. Continuing their hunger games til this years 100th quarter quell. The catch being only children 12-14 will be reaped as a reminder to the districts about the many childrens lives lost during the dark days. She discovers many cruel things about the capitol while in the tribute center and benny performs certain song and causes riots in the district, during the games a small twist happens having them question the games.
