I made this story to share my experiences to everyone. I am a Pentecostal Girl, who lived in sync in this WORLD. All your life you are told that being different is good, that it makes you unique. Well, even though people tell us this we all want to be the same, have a certain hairstyle, get certain shoes, paint our fingernails a certain way, listen to the "in" music... But what if you couldn't be the same, no matter how bad you wanted to be. Imagine that, and on top of all that, you have just moved to a new high school your freshman year. That's my problem and this is the story of the goods and not-so-goods of going through high school as me, Lila.

The Girls in Skirts is a project based in truth, the names have been changed to protect the innocent (and the guilty) but the details remain. Meet Claudia, June and Maddie, three very different women with very different stories all connected by one place. The single strand that connects all three of these women is a church, more particularly a strict Pentecostal church. All three women somehow found themselves making an exit from the church that helped to raise them. Claudia exited after she was forced to come to terms with abuse that she endured at the hands of a minister. Maddie left after a long and painful marriage that forced her to examine what she believed and why. June left even when she swore she never, ever would. She did not leave because things were too hard, or because she got hurt, but because she was tired of hurting others. The true stories of these three very different women intertwine and tell pieces of the real stories of women who have risen up and left Pentecostal and Apostolic churches all over the world. A 17-year-old Pentecostal girl grew up in a loving family with strict rules. One day she decides to see the outside world and she is in for a big surprise. It's nothing like she thought it would be. She comes to trust the wrong person and when he rapes her, she returns home. But what happens when she finds out that she is pregnant? What will her family think and do?

This is about my journey in Christ and being saved. This is MY testimony from things that God has brought me threw and the light He has given me. God is still adding to my story day by day so my storys not over yet.....

Life is hard. It's a fact that all us us, at some point have come to realize. But, it is also good, enjoyable and even spectacular at times. So why, do we have to deal with the times of doubt? Why do we have to struggle with pain anxiety and fear? Isn't life supposed to just be good?

I walked through the hallway, my eyes widened as I saw that brunette looking down at her textbooks at her locker. She looks oddly familiar, like I saw her or possibly had already met her. Her honey eyes met mine."Wait, it's you. You from the mall over the summer." She spoke. "Thats why you looked so familiar." I muttered as I put my hands in my pocket and stared at the tiled ground. "You know, stealing isn't exactly the nicest thing to do." The brunette closed her locker. The bell rang to signal it was time to part. She looked back once more and headed the other direction.

This is based on the top questions that I found that people ask God, or ask about God I wrote the questions in a diary form, from the point of view of someone struggling with these questions, and then I provided my own answers. I hope you are blessed by this :)
