Long after Zeus punishes Dionysus by forcing him to oversee Camp Half-Blood, another secret changes the god's fate forever. His wife, Ariadne, is already carrying their daughter.
Born immortal, the little girl becomes something no one expected-the Goddess of Childhood. Blessed and cursed to remain physically five years old forever, she embodies innocence, laughter, imagination, and the fleeting joy of youth. Though eternally a child, her mind slowly matures over the centuries, creating a bittersweet contrast between her appearance and her wisdom.
To obey Zeus's punishment while still raising their daughter, Dionysus and Ariadne strike a compromise. Every summer, she lives at Camp Half-Blood beside her father, becoming the camp's tiny guardian. During the rest of the year, she returns to Ariadne, learning about the gods, the stars, and the ancient world from her mother.
