Death, War, Pestilence and Famine - the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse - have been hanging around for so long waiting to being about the end of the world, they've forgotten who they really are. War is a Top Gear groupie, Fam (the Man) cheats at Monopoly against his sidekick Pestilencio and Death sighs a lot - something that's not too great for the local pigeon population but makes Cedric, their three-headed Jack Russell, very happy. Death realises the world is going down the pan without them, and decides to make it a better place. After all, it should be THEM destroying it, not us! Unfortunately, things don't quite go according to plan...

In a universe where concepts such as "Death", "War", "Pestilence", "Famine" and "Time" have assumed physical forms, each with their own ideals and views of the perfect world, they battle for the right to rule human kind in their image, and after one side loses the war, he makes the decision to pass on the mantle to the next generation for another shot at victory. The story follows the next generation and their struggles when they find themselves amidst a war set in motion long before they opened their eyes to the world, will they find the resolve to carry the burden left by their creator? Or will they crumble beneath the sheer weight of it all? This book follows a few characters of this generation, between heaven hell and earth, mainly one in particular. This is the prologue of a story I am writing, it's set in a post-apocalyptic world in which each continent is being attacked, controlled, and abused by the horseman of the apocalypse. The main character, Ignatius, is in the U.S. which is being destroyed by the Horseman Pestilence (I understand Pestilence isn't one of the four Horseman, this is going off the idea that there is 5 Horseman Death, Famine, Pestilence, War, and Conquest). ****I am posting this to see if this would be a good/ interesting idea for a book or short story. Also, I do enjoy constructive criticism, comment if you liked the idea/ or if you have any recommendation on how I messed up the logic (AKA if something story wise doesn't add up). i figured it out

Long ago two powerful entities that were never to meet fell in love, when that love was broken revenge was to be sought. Two thousand years later Death has come back to seek his revenge, destroying all life. However a young mare with blue eyes was foretold to save the world and mend what was broken. Can Pea live up to her name, or will she fall underneath the influence of War, Pestilence, Death, and Famine.

Doctor Corvin Ward is a Plague Doctor during the time of the Bubonic Plague. One night, after getting home from a long day of work, he notices that he is expressing some of the Plague symptoms. In the morning he wakes up, perfectly cured. What could have caused this? Corvin doesn't realize that this curing is just the beginning of oddities that are about to happen in his life.
