This story is about Bette and Dot's first week at the Freak Show. My take on it is that Dot is Lana Winters, they get the surgery and Dot becomes Lana. As Maxwell finds himself battling with the torture, and cruelty of the Asylum...he soon realizes he didnt come into the Asylum insane, but he will be coming out of the Asylum, deranged.
