"All I want is blackness, blackness and silence." - Sylvia Plath
Until we have seen someone's darkness we don't really know who they are. Until we have forgiven someone's darkness, we don't really know what love is. Such is the case for Carson Phillips; an average guy with well pronounced and slightly off-centered best friends. But unlike others, Carson holds a terrible tragedy... he has been shrouded in the inevitability of eternal blindness. He knows he's not like the others - that he cannot admire or see the beauty in life that had been bestowed on many of the undeserving. He knows that no matter what, he'll always live his life hearing the guilt and the mantra "I'm so sorry sir," from the people who could never understand how screwed up his reality ever was. And then he met her and he was done for. Because for once, he was sorry. So sorry that he could never see her face, especially her smile even though he could hear it. And he hoped to god that no one else would have her.
