Dear Owner, I thought you might be looking for me so when a passing diver pulled out a camera I dragged myself into the picture in the hope that you might spot me. I'm out of focus but hopefully you can see me on the bottom right, below the ray.
I often think of the day we met. I was beautiful in those days: filled with brightly coloured sweets and encircled by a pink satin ribbon. I was surrounded by swirly lollipops and intricate chocolate mice but your hands reached past them and clasped me and I flushed with pride. I came home with you. I sat in your warm, snug cupboard. I watched excitedly as your bottles and jars were emptied and then refilled, or placed into the recycling box for a new adventure.
One day it was my turn.
