This is my entry for the #planetorplastic contest. I've published it for the contest but I am also publishing it to everyone else so that maybe it makes a change on Wattpad as well *edit* it's to late for this to be part of the competition but I still think it's important to read so that's why I publishing it and hoping people enjoy it

A 17-year old girl writes a letter to the CEO of Upperware

Environmental problems. Political interest. Personal benefits. Opportunity costs. Clashes and conflicts will inevitably occur when there is a clash of interests. These are perhaps the reasons why plastics still continue to be overused and will likely continue to be overused unless something drastic occurs. A #PlanetOrPlastic short story specially written for the National Geographic Writing Competition in hopes of raising environmental awareness and the need to push for environmentally friendly governmental polices. No longer can we stand divided as left right or right wing, democratic or republican, conservative or liberal. We must unite to face this common threat to Earth. Division will only cause inefficiency and inadequacy. We must unite and push for change because change starts with us.

This is a story for the National Geographic contest. It's based in a 12-year-old girl's point of view. What would happen if the water became so polluted, the animals took over the land?

The earth is slowly depleting, and the world's demise is near and to what do we owe this great havoc, plastics. Just because humans couldn't control the use of plastic. this is an entry of a teenager living a life nobody should experience. maybe after reading this we might put our selfish needs aside and do something for the planet.
