Hello! This in my entry for National Geographic's #PlanetOrPlastic writing contest. In 500 words or less, we were asked to write a story, that was inspired by 2 photos presented. The story can be fiction or non fiction. But on this challenge, i prefer to write a fantasy about Sea-horse's family. I just had fun writing it. I don't really expect to win the contest, but i'm proud of it. For more information, please visit the official @NationalGeographic profile to know more about the contest. The contest will be end in 30 November 2018. Regards,

The Institute for Cetacean Advancement quietly controls Earth, harnessing the intelligence of captive whales and dolphins to solve human problems. Dr. James Morris is their leading bioengineer. His best friend is Coda-9994, the genius and potty-mouthed hybrid sperm whale destined to be sent off to the ocean planet Ouroboros. With humans having rendered Earth's ocean uninhabitable, the ICA insists it's the only way to find a new homeworld to serve mankind's needs. But Coda doesn't want to go. He grows angrier at Jim with each passing day for doing nothing. Desperate to redeem himself in Coda's eyes, Jim finds himself tangled in a conspiracy to bring the ICA to its knees. But how willing is he to get his hands dirty? How far will they go to break humanity's cycle of self-destruction? Based on the short story that took first place in National Geographic's "Planet or Plastic" contest. *Contains some foul language.* ______ Dream Awards - 1st place Sci-fi Majestic Awards - 1st place Sci-fi

Every soul longed for a friend, so when I stumbled upon a floating pink stick, I couldn't help but say hi. "Where did you come from?" I asked him. He didn't respond. Perhaps he was voiceless. "You must be very lonely. Me too. Want to be friends?" It bobbed in the water. ~My submission for the #PlanetOrPlastic challenge by National Geographic. Hats off to National Geographic for taking the first stand against plastic pollution. A glimpse into the daily lives of creatures under the sea from the creatures points of view. How does what we do affect them? Are the happy in their lives? What do they think of us humans? This story tells my thoughts on the fore mentioned questions, and raises a few of its own, the main one being, Should we continue what we have been doing even after knowing how it affects sea life? This is an answer only you can give. So think on it while reading the story.
