She was going to be a hero. Not for the money, not for the fame, but just so she could be assured that people still cared about the public. She was tired of heroes only wanting fame, only wanting money, only wanting glory. She had her career all planned out; she just missed one mine /ahem, major/ detail. This detail? Midoriya Izuku. She had not planned on protecting him from bullying. She had not planned on becoming his friend. And she had certainly not planned on helping All Might train him!
