It's better to prevent it than figuring out a solution when it is already out of hand. Let's not wait for it to come or happen. Time won't stop for us but we can prevent these disasters from happening. Stop. Look. Listen. To what nature has to say to you. Don't wait for the time that our once green lands, blue seas, and clean air will become something we have all feared. It's never too late to change and maybe when you do you might not know it but you might have just saved a life or two.

The old man's delightful memories made him talk endlessly. Bitter memories made him rethink and regret. Plastics are easy to carry and easy to use. But not the same in sea and ocean. This is my entry for the #PlanetOrPlastic contest In this story/article I will be discussing why we need to stop plastic from ruining the lives of poor and innocent marine animals. I will also be discussing that maybe if we don't stop and not make a big impact on plastic and what they call "recycling" that does not even help.... more will be discussed in the article. An inspired story from the truth that may seen around us. The naked truth that slowly poison our planet that some of us just ignore what's the truth and just live as our world continues to revolves. Let us all see the truth that blinding us all.

Environmental problems. Political interest. Personal benefits. Opportunity costs. Clashes and conflicts will inevitably occur when there is a clash of interests. These are perhaps the reasons why plastics still continue to be overused and will likely continue to be overused unless something drastic occurs. A #PlanetOrPlastic short story specially written for the National Geographic Writing Competition in hopes of raising environmental awareness and the need to push for environmentally friendly governmental polices. No longer can we stand divided as left right or right wing, democratic or republican, conservative or liberal. We must unite to face this common threat to Earth. Division will only cause inefficiency and inadequacy. We must unite and push for change because change starts with us.

This is my entry to National geographic contest #PlasticOrPlanet . I totally agree that we use so much plastic and the consequences of doing it will be more and more dangerous to our planet Earth. Hope you like my story.

This is for the Planet or plastic challenge. I'm not doing this for the prize, or am I expecting to win, but I'm doing this in hopes to open the eyes of those who do not see the danger of what they are doing and hope that this will start to change their ways. ~~~~~~~~~~~ Our world has fallen to despair. Famine, Natural disasters caused by us and diseases. The human population still exists but it's at a standstill, after hundreds of years of greed and damaging the world can no longer take it. Famine and disease are as common as the dirt and pollution is more promise then oxygen. Yet as I sit upon this rock as I've sat so many times before. Here I, The Great Ocean, lay helpless to the destruction you have caused to me, my child. The outcome of my fate, and all those who live in me, are in the grasps of your cruel hands. My experience of Pollution This senseless dumping of rubbish in our beautiful oceans must STOP! Think about where you put your rubbish, as one person can make a difference!!!!!!

Living at the beach, amputee girl Vanna daily gets confronted what she also contains: plastic.

'Serenity was a hazy memory; hope was vacant.' Serenity and hope - an euphoric pair - replaced by the passionlessness of rapacity. Lives demolished, a consequence of our heedlessness. Our planet - forever gone. The termination of planet earth... we're the reason. This short story is an entry for the 'Planet or Plastic' contest run by National Geographic, subsequently being an insight on Celestia's life avoiding the fatal burden we've initiated.
