Book one in the "Good old Days" state humans series. Set during the time of the original 13 states settling too the beginning of the revolutionary war. Jer is the bad boy in town. No one will get on his bad side. All the girls practically throw themselves at him. All he has to do is snap his fingers to get what he wants. With his sarcastic attitude and snarky replies it's hard to get on his good side and then Kammie comes along. This mysterious girl somehow gets under his skin and makes him think about someone other than himself. What will be in store for them. Can secrets stay hidden? Can the past truly remain in the past?
