FREE VERSE POETRY!!! In this poetry book. I explain my struggles, my thoughts, and my emotions. A lot of these poems were written after or during something. I show and explain how I feel daily when I overthink. It's about all of the things I never let go of in life. I learned a lot from this, especially that you can't outrun these problems. You can't let go of them either, because they mean too much to let go. This poetry book was more of a journal than a book itself, because usually when I was sad or something, I would write about it. In this poetry book, you will see a lot about love, because my whole life is built around that. I thank you for those who cheered me on throughout the making of this. I thank the people who cared enough to help me through these parts of my life. SECTION 1: ~a million words~ timespan: september - mid-december SECTION 2: ~the letters i never addressed~ timespan: december - january SECTION 3: ~a few more words... please.~ timespan: beginning of january - end of april In the early stages of this book. I cried a lot because I was scared to even write these poems. Knowing it will be the truth, and for once, people will know me for me. Because these problems aren't just mine. They are yours too, because it is so sad that a lot of teenagers go through a lot of the same things. To those who read this, thank you for taking your time to understand me. It means a lot, tons. Sometimes I think that others shouldn't worry about my issues or problems when they have their own to worry about. This happened a lot, and some of these poems were written with my tears. I thank YOU, for making me remember that people are here for me, no matter who they are. Along with that- Enjoy! I hope that you like this, as much as I did write it. It's my everyday thoughts, my emotions, my tears, and what I never would say to anyone a year ago. And I never let go of these things, because I just learned to live with them. Morgan Hayes

For every person out there that was quiet, not because they chose to be so, but because they were choking in the smoke. Because their opinions were apparently not worth anything. Because they didn't know just how to say what they felt. For every person that is consumed by their own thoughts, the derision from the outside world only making it worse. For every soul that was drowning in remorse and anguish on restless nights. For every soul that says I love you in the dark and in the mirror because no one else does. For the floors we would pace while anxiety sunk its teeth into us. For the mirrors that we would break while shame echoed its laugh in our caged walls. For the hearts that would ache while loneliness was the only company. For every moment of pain and solitude in this world that feels too cruel for such young and frail minds.

I'm always searching for something worth staying for but I can't seem to find that until then please don't mind me because I'm just a traveler passing through. When I'm not satisfied or happy I'll leave and find a new path, so just let me say goodbye... Can I say goodbye? I wrote till my hands bruised and heart bled. I wrote and wrote in hopes that some day, somebody will understand my words and all the things I wish I could say... Each poem is a story. My story. Some are fictional but most of them are true. I know you're curious. From painful heart breaks to high school stories. A person dealing with mental illnesses, fears and abuse. Won't you like to know about the drama?

I wrote this because I needed to survive it. Because there are some feelings too big for silence. Some heartbreaks too heavy to carry alone. This isn't fiction. This is my heart, broken open and rearranged into verse. "I saw you standing where the sidewalk curves, and suddenly my chest knew different words." - That's how it started. A glance. A stranger. A feeling I couldn't ignore. "You said we needed to talk. Those five words, I knew. I already knew." - And that's how it ended. Not with fire. With silence. I won't tell you that time heals all wounds. I won't say everything happens for a reason. I won't pretend heartbreak makes you stronger. But I will show you that: You can survive what you think will destroy you. You can break and still become beautiful. You can love someone and lose them and still be whole. You can be your own happy ending. I wrote these poems with tears on my face. I wrote them on good days when I forgot to hurt. Every word is something I actually felt. Every line is a moment I actually lived. "You are not broken. You are breaking open. And that's where the light gets in." - That's what this taught me. That's what I hope it gives you, the comfort of knowing you're not alone.

This is not pretty poetry. These are truths I was never taught to speak. Here lie the words I swallowed, the pain I buried, and the questions they told me not to ask. For the unheard. For the unseen. For the ones who feel too much in a world that tells them to feel less. I write for you. I write for me.

A collection of unspoken feelings, quiet realizations, and late-night thoughts that linger longer than they should. These words were never meant to be perfect - just honest. Maybe you'll see a part of yourself in them too. For hearts that feel too much, think too deep, and love too quietly.

We all crave connection - people who will stay, support, and stand beside us through every season. But along the way, we learn a hard truth: not every friend is genuine. Some are blessings, others are lessons. In Not Every Friend Is a Friend, we explore the different types of people we call "friends" - the loyal ones, the silent listeners, the cheerleaders, but also the fakes, the users, and the ones who only come around when it's convenient. This piece breaks down the various faces of friendship, helping you recognize which ones are worth keeping and which ones are silently draining your energy. This isn't just a guide - it's a mirror. Whether you've been hurt, confused, or simply trying to understand the people around you, this read will help you see clearly, set boundaries, and heal smarter. Because it's not about having many friends - it's about having the right ones.

Writing is a terrifying act of creation that requires us to push past the fear of being known and bare our souls to others. It gives us a glimpse into our multifaceted lives, both as writers who share their stories and as readers who bring their own unique experiences to what they read. Writing serves as a beautiful connection to each other and our world. This collection of poetry and prose is intended for those of us who feel we have lost our connections and sometimes feel a little less than human because of it.

"The Girl Who Outgrew Her Hurt" is my story in poems. I was the quiet girl with a soft heart, hard thoughts, and hidden pain. The one who smiled while healing, loved while breaking, and kept everything inside. This book is for the ones who feel too deeply, overthink at night, and keep going anyway. It's about heartbreak, friendships that faded, missing people who didn't stay, and finding myself in the mess. I wrote every poem from the truth I carry - soft, bold, and still becoming. This is me, outgrowing what tried to break me.
