Until fate decided to throw all of that out of window. America had now found himself kidnapped by two wanted criminals who took him away from all he had ever known. Mysteriously enough it now seemed that the two criminals were the very creatures everyone thought that only existed in fairytales. Along the way their journey they meet foes, allies, and familiar faces that help to solve what exactly the criminals want with him and what happened with the extinction of their kind. W ośmiopiętrowej kamienicy na ulicy Waszyngtona dwanaście czekają na ich zajęcia wysiłkowe, umysłowe, a przede wszystkim odstresowywator doktora Wiktora. W tym czasie mamusie udadzą się do Pałacu Piękności. Razem z innymi paniami poddadzą się zabiegom kosmetycznym, które mają wydobyć ich prawdziwe piękno. Nad metamorfozą w zabytkowej willi z unikalnymi metodami czeka pani Minh i jej asystentki. Jej zgrany zespół zrobi wszystko, by dokonać przemiany w chodzący ideał bez potrzeby chirurgii plastycznej. Czy tatusiowie poddadzą się terapii? Czy środki przeciwbólowe w Pałacu Piękności będą działać do końca? Co dzieje się za zamkniętymi drzwiami, czego nikt nie może zobaczyć i jak niewiele trzeba, aby naruszyć perfekcyjny obraz. O funkcjonowaniu Przedpracy, Pałacu Piękności, a także o poniedziałkowym powrocie do centrum finansowego dowiecie się z fragmentów tej książki (nowy fragment, co 5 dni).

Kazimierz ma autyzm, kamienie i rosnący brzuch oraz kapitał z czynszów. Paweł ma zakola, taniec i pięści. Benjamin ma depresję, dyplom z kulturoznawstwa i długi. Razem wynajmują patosąsiedzkie poddasze w Krakowie i nieustannie negocjują z upadkiem cywilizacji. Zbiór opowiadań o wolnym rynku, brudnych dywanach i o tym, że jedynym sensem życia jest tarcie. To opowieść o człowieku, który nie przegrał życia - on je celowo odłożył na później, zapakował w folię bąbelkową ironii i postawił w kącie pokoju. Gdzieś obok pustych puszek po napoju energetycznym.
