Poetry Collection // Upon the Stars We See is a deeply personal and politically charged chapbook that weaves together haiku, prose poems, and spoken word to explore the intersections of Indigenous identity, environmental grief, and the quiet violence of modern existence. Through minimalism and lyrical force, it constructs a celestial mirror-reflecting not only the realities of colonization and capitalism, but also the resilience, memory, and inherited strength of those who live through them.

Unfortunately, those entrusted with all the power and necessary amount of resources required to reverse the recurring effects have done nearly nothing. If so, then this could be what he needed to heal his mother from a strange mental illness. However, to get his hands on it, Mr Olum must clash with a famous, more powerful and wealthier family known to have descended directly from Ndahura, a legendary king of the BaC'wezi.

This is my submission for National Geographic's "Plastic Or Planet" contest. Writing started as a hobby and a way to give life to some amazing dreams I had. In reality, I am someone that is interested in a lot of different things including science and, more specifically, environmental sciences. That's what led me to pursue my studies in Ecology, now, I understand what problems our Planet, our World, faces and I know that the only way to save our future is by changing the path we are taking. To achieve this we have to change people's minds by teaching, explaining and showing them why it is crucial for our future and our descendants' future to conserve nature. I truly believe that Humans are not superior to other species and that it's the arrogance of thinking we are superior that will be our downfall. We do not own this world, we share it with other species. Our superior stage of evolution and knowledge doesn't give us more rights over this planet, it only gives us more responsibility to take care of it.

A world divided. When Cretian colonists first conquered Hayl in 1894, it was an island lush with opportunity. The indigenous Endars were peaceful. The verdant hills were fertile. Priceless deposits of ferricon lay just beneath the soil. It was paradise. But now it's 2138. The Cretian mining industry has destroyed Hayl. Acid rain consumes the earth. Paradise has perished. And the Endars want revenge. When Endar opportunist Julius Strom begins secretly enacting his Retribution Initiative, the Cretians face their demise head-on. All Lucas wants to do is survive. All Judith wants to do is save her family. They are ostracized, hated by everyone for crimes that aren't their own. In a world dictated by skin color and cruelty, is it possible for anyone to find peace? Inspired by the short story Restitution by Eileen Pierce

The old man's delightful memories made him talk endlessly. Bitter memories made him rethink and regret. Plastics are easy to carry and easy to use. But not the same in sea and ocean. Sea creatures aren't like you and me. They make mistakes, the mistakes which will cause their lives. Please reconsider before throwing wastes in water bodies. Entry for #planetorplant competition.

A short and tiny story about a divided world at war and gravity is two times as effective. I wrote this story, intending to make the reader think about a few things. The narrator in this story questions his faith in humanity, and questions if there is any hope left for his broken world. I hope you enjoy this story.

A glance at some of those. Author's note--- Here, I have added some of my poems as well as my brother's poems. Hi, my name is Dr Rukhsar Siddiqui, you also know me here as @ruks145. I am a dentist by profession. My brother's name is Mohammad Saif Siddiqui. He is a Computer Engineer. we are very pleased to meet you all. We hope you will love reading it.

Instead they managed to wipe out two thirds of the population. The only countries left unharmed are up north, but as I sit here, they are slowly getting covered up. It wasn’t until people started mysteriously dying that I knew I had to go on this journey. Finish what my father started.

"Murderers. Destroying the planet, then showing great benevolence in carting us to new planets you choose to ruin." Is it a twist of fate that humans are being slowly annihilated by Armak, natives of the planet Arma (17th Colony of the humans), in a way that is eerily similar to the annihilation orchestrated by them on their home planet, Earth? Read my entry for National Geographic's #PlanetOrPlastic Writing Competition! Cover Artwork done by myself.
