Spring Lawrence is a college history student writing a thesis on Greece. Mythology specifically. Curious about her Greek roots, she ventures through the trunk her deceased grandmother left her when she died. What she finds is a gold encrusted pomegranate that warms at her touch. Two seconds later, a very hot and very naked dark haired man appears in her living room floor. Claiming to be the mystic Hades, he swears she is his lost wife, Persephone. Of course she doesn't believe him. He offers her an deal. In exchange for her returning with him to the Underworld for six months, he will help her with her thesis. What Spring doesn't realize is that Hades has every intention of awakening the old goddess that lies dormant inside of her. All he has to get her to do is eat the gold encrusted pomegranate.

"Okay, isn't offering to kick some guy's ass good enough?" Once again, Ryan held out the pomegranate. "Come on, just one bite. It'll quench your thirst" I sighed and placed my books carefully on the sidewalk once again. But this time instead of faking a seizure, I held out my hand. "Fine, give it here." Ryan's face lit up as he tossed me the pomegranate, which I barely caught. I stared at the fruit in my hand. Sure it looked tasty, but why was I so cautious to take a bite? I was just plying around about Hades coming here to get me, right? Of course! Why am I so paranoid? Without another thought, I took a huge bite from the pomegranate. As normal as my life was, nothing happened. "See," Ryan said while interrupting my train of thoughts. "Nothing happened. Hades isn't gonna get you." I laughed. "I know dick face! I was just kidding about-" Without warning, the ground began to rumble ferociously, causing my neat stack of books to topple everywhere and Ryan and I to fall to the ground. But that wasn't the only result. Car alarms began to go off and trash cans were toppling and spilling.

Pomegranate

Following the events at the floating castle, an ambassador from the Crème Republic offered Pure Vanilla a proposition that involved him traveling to see the new nation. Everything appears idyllic on the surface, but under the facade lay machinations that even the cunning consul was unaware of. Clotted Cream wishes to uplift the Republic. Affogato wishes to burn it down. Pomegranate dances between them, twisting the situation to her benefit. May the best player win.

Persephone & Hades Retelling Phryne Calin's entire life has been shrouded in mystery. Every night she is plagued with enigmatic dreams of a past life and a man so beautiful it makes her weep. She delves deeper into the dreams each night, trying desperately to catch a glimpse of the man she can't help but feel for, but the deeper she digs, the more certain she is that it all ended in violence.
