Set one week after the events of the film, Ponyo begins her new life as a fully human girl. Now part of Koichi and Lisa's family, she and Sosuke navigate school days, small seaside adventures, and the quiet adjustments of everyday life. As Ponyo learns the rhythm of the human world, Sosuke slowly discovers what it truly means to keep a promise. Through laughter, challenges, and heartfelt moments, the family grows closer-proving that even the simplest days by the ocean can shape a lifetime.

Ponyo was just a girl who had a royal family, until a mysterious "Darkness" took over her town. Now she must live in poverty in a dirt cottage with the rest of the townsfolk. Confused and scared, Ponyo scurries to find a life path and arrangements for when her 18th birthday comes. But as she delves deeper into finding a solution to her problem, she discovers terrible secrets and unexplainable truths about her family, the "Darkness" and her town. Why are her parents so set on blocking her from their lives? Does she know too much? What does she know too much about? Will her investigation lead her into hot water? Will she discover something unimaginable? Or will the "Darkness" take over?

[Ponyo x fem! reader] *Note: Characters are aged up to teenagers in this story so it will be slightly different than the original story* Y/N has always dreamed of the sea, and what mysteries it might be hiding. Maybe that was because of the love for sailing that came from the trips that her father and grandfather took her on as a child. So when a young mermaid shows up one day, Y/N is enchanted, and her father's stories start to appear in her dreams again.
