MacKenzie Haas is a single mother living in Chicago, raising her eight-year-old daughter, Winter. MacKenzie's whole life revolves around Winter, work, and music. She doesn't have much time for anything else in life. But it changes when her friends invite her to a concert for a fun night out, something MacKenzie hasn't seen in a long time. MacKenzie ends up meeting Post Malone, the pop star everyone knows about. MacKenzie has heard about him and has heard some of his music but was never a big fan. She ends up meeting him backstage and gets his number. MacKenzie's unsure at first because for so long it was just her and Winter and MacKenzie had no one to rely on but herself. But Austin proves himself and MacKenzie lets him into her life. He's sweet to her and Winter, supportive of her music, and puts his all into their relationship. MacKenzie knows he's good for her and hopes she doesn't mess it up.

Groups formed outside these cities, fighting for survival, Raiders attack in the night and melee becomes the new combat norm. Storm Sickness ravages large populations. They are discriminated against and hated against, considered a different race other than humans. Sanctuaries formed to protect the sick. The Kreed sit as the only group that can stop the Rymar's advance against the Sick. And in all of this mayhem, murder, chaos and misery, Kade Malken and Rovan Kreesh's stories shall unfold.

you know the drill

Some people will go to extraordinary lengths for money and power. For greed. But there's always an immovable line no one should venture past. So when a company decides to gamble with nature, there's bound to be consequences. The serum was invented, and its purpose was fulfilled. It had altered life, but the end result was far from expected. Humans had been replaced by monsters. Now, mutants overrun the earth. Twisted shells of never ending hunger where there had been men, women, children - bright live lost too soon. It was almost impossible to remember a past before this hell. Or see a future free from this. Among the survivors are Eliza and Brandon, ex police officers who, through skills and sheer luck, have fought and lived and, through circumstances, have been brought together.
