After a year has passed from their last adventure, 53 Pretty Cures and 28 mascots went to go see The Super Mario Bros. Movie together in the movie theaters. Once they saw the whole movie from start to finish, Miyuki convince everyone to find a green Warp Pipe in the underground sewers to see if it's real. But it turns out, it was real which caught everyone by surprise. Not long after Go Cheerful Crew is recruited, Maiya, a goddess who came from the Music World, searches for Precures to help her stop her cousin Souta, who became the Demon King due to his jealousy. With Aoi, Makoto, and the rest of GCC Casts are up to the mission Maiya gave them, they must work together to stop Souta and his organization, the Warumo Squad. During this mission, the entire GCC Casts will deal with Momona Aose, Kousuke Aoba, and the two fairies: Mary and Angelo.

Hime Shirayuki and Aguri Madoka are princesses with opposite personalities. Hime being Energetic and Childlike, and Aguri being Calm and Levelheaded. The duo crosses paths and they instantly formed a friendship due to similar interests. Thanks to their good heart, Hime and Aguri manage to transform into Precures and fight the forces of evil together. Together with Hibiki Hojo, Ruru Amour, Kotoha Hanami, Miki Aono, and Himari Arisugawa, the duo then recruit the group as "Joyful Girls Squad". As Hime, Aguri, and their other 5 friends were known as Joyful Girls Squad, they face a new obstacle: A princess of the Friendship Kingdom, namely Sarah, flee from her hometown due to the invasion led by an evil wizard named Kahlil, and his organization called the Nuisance Clan. To help Sarah save the Friendship Kingdom, the whole JGS Casts must find a way to defeat Kahlil. While the JGS Casts are fulfilling the mission, Akari Hoshidera, Saku Ozora, and their fairy partners, namely Ara and Julie, step in to support them.

In a world ruled by four nations who wielded dual elemental powers, there are 28 masks that grants the wearer the powers of mythical beasts. The young witch introduces herself as Riko and explains that she's come to the "No Magic" World to search for certain objects. The two girls notice that they're wearing similar pendants. Meanwhile, Batty, a companion of Dokurokushe the Wizard of Darkness, appears in front of Mirai and Riko! Batty demands that Riko hand over the "Linkle Stone Emerald", which Riko herself had been looking for. To make things worse, Batty uses dark magic to create a monster known as a Yokubaru! Mirai, Riko, and Mofurun join hands. With the magic words "Cure Up RaPaPa!", their pendants shine a magical light over them! The legendary witches "Pretty Cure" are born!
