During a jewelry heist, Robert came across a News video about a villain wearing an Oni mask, who was wreaking havoc in the city. Once, encountering the villain at first, they had a deep and raspy voice that made Robert think that they were a male. But when Robert ends up knocking their mask off. It turns out to be a woman with red poppy-like eyes and with a strong look of eagerness to kill him. Unfortunately, the moment didn't last long once the villain managed to escape and unleashed more demons from the portal that they escaped from. After that day, Robert tries to find the villain on many News channels and videos, where he always seems to be the first hero to respond. But every time they encounter each other, he never seems to want to arrest her; more like he wants to get to know her.

A whole new world, finally discovered, by the shards. It's breathtaking; lush trees, snaking rivers of blue, and a sky so big it could swallow somebody up. Nine almost wished it would. But being stuck with Shadow, Sonic, and Tails after trying to fix the issue with the paradox prism was quite possibly the worst day of his life. And, as if he wasn't already neck deep in his own problems, the shards have taken even more of a liking to him than even Sonic, ever since he had harnessed their power.
