❝Assallam alay-❞ Holy chicken. Hottie alert. Does my veil look sexy? The holy month of Ramadan; a month where Muslims are required to fast, abstain from sins, and connect spiritually with Allah. It's also the month where Paulina Suarez--the practicing, straightforward, biracial Muslimah--tries to avoid acting on her feelings for the goofy baker boy who has been assigned to make food for her break of fast for the next 30 days. 30 days. She just has to endure his heartwarming smiles, sense of humor, and amazing talent in the art of making samosas for 30 days without jumping his bones. ...And without killing that co-worker of his that's just trying to get to him before Ramadan is up. Yep...no pressure at all. *** a/n: so much fluff... you'd probably suffocate. THIS IS AN OLD DRAFT. Featured Under Editors' Picks, April 2021. WINNER OF THE LEBOOK AWARDS (BEST CHICKLIT/HUMOR) 2016 cool cover by Mistalee_

(Book 2) "How can you hide from reality when it has collided?" THIS BOOK IS DISCONTINUED!!! The story of Jamila Abdus-Samad. She's the girl who feels alone. Nobody really knew her. Nobody ever saw what she felt inside or who she really is. She is underestimated to the fullest and learned to live with it. It didn't matter what she did or how she did it, no one would see her. The signs were clear that she felt completely and utterly alone in the world, but only she could see the signs. The worst part about it all? She hated herself for it. She hated that she would always let someone down no matter how hard she tried not to. She felt empty inside, like a shell, trapped. But for how long? Forever? With all of her might she hoped it would end soon. Cover credits: @HornsOfARebel

She couldn't stand people being happy,it made her mad. She had many wishes only some were fulfilled. She made mistakes, lots of them that couldn't be erased. She had to find her way because finding her way meant wishes coming true, mistakes becoming blessings and being forgiven and most importantly the happiness she loathed and yearned for being found. ~ Faith was a typical girl and like every typical girl she should be normal and have normal things right? She should be able to look up to her parents, share every achievement with them but no she didn't because she didn't want to and couldn't. She didn't want to associate with them for fear of turning up like them. She didn't want to be normal like most children who wish to be like their parents because one was constantly sleeping around and the other abandoned them. She wanted to break free and be her own person. But how does a person restructure broken foundations into something beautiful and enviable?

Life can be brutal and uncaring to some. Aisha was one of those unfortunate "some" she had deceived herself into believing she had full control of her life. That she could set the terms of how her life would unfold. However, life and fate have a way of showing us just how much control we truly have. How does one cope when the people most important in our lives are ripped away from us? What does one do when they become the sole guardian of their two younger siblings? And how does one survive, when you're hated because of your faith.

"Then I'll see your face I know I'm finally yours; I find everything I thought I lost before; You call my name I come to you in pieces So you can make me whole..." 'MUSIC IS FOR LIFE', they say. WHAT ABOUT THE AFTERLIFE? Daniyal Hasan, 19, is nowhere near redemption. Born to a Pakistani father and a convert Irish mother, he has strange blood flowing in his veins. He drinks, parties when there's money in his pockets, is into sleeping around and often occurring club brawls. Since his mom died when he was 10, the only family he has left is his father, who is, ironically, never there for him. His life is hell ever since his father re-married a British woman, who is only after his million pounds Financial Solutions firm. His guitar is his sole solace. Having a gifted voice, he distracts himself (ironically) from his life by singing in shady bars, doing small gigs here and there and earning some cash along the way. Who knows when that dad of his goes bonkers again?! ❣ Hidayah Ali, a decidedly pretty Indian girl, has recently come to St. Patricks High, Manchester as an exchange program student. Coming from a typical, Indian middle-class family, making a grand career is uppermost in her mind. She tries to hold firm to her religion, keyword being 'try', and has a veil on when in public. But like our hero, she isn't perfect either. Even though she knows it's haram, she has a weak spot for music; sitar and piano being her favorite instruments. She even sings a bit to her sister and friend, promising to leave everything after high school. Will the two ever get out of this vortex of sins and find a place in their hearts for each other? Read on to find out... Cover credits: soundthealarm
