My family seems to be perfect from the outside looking in. We have the big house, the money for things, the million-dollar-smiles... but nothing is ever as it seems. We're plastic. We're fake. So fake, in fact, that we hide the little things about us, we hide everything about us, to be more specific. My dad does things he isn't supposed to, and my mom is taking it hard. My brother has a full ride to any college of his choice, and he's blowing it away like it's nothing at all. So what would happen if someone found out about us? If they saw through our little charade? If they looked past the kitchen curtains that hide every conversation my parents have with each other? What if we were exposed for who we really are, instead of who everyone thinks we are? - Available to buy now - COMPLETE PLEASE DON'T EDIT - I GOT IT Highest Ranking in General Fiction: # 283

[UNDER RECONSTRUCTION] "Okay, so." I shrugged. "Now what?" This time, Angel did a facepalm. × Every newborn children were each assigned with two Guides; a Guardian and a Nightmare. Both meant to look after the child, to guide them as they grow into their lives, then eventually wither away. There were simple rules, really; a Nightmare must not crossed the line of haunting nor ever kill their assigned Guardian, and a Guardian must not, ever, went against a child's beliefs nor ever kill their assigned Nightmare. Ashleigh, as unaware as the rest of the children, had a pair of the oddest Guides amongst others. A passive Guardian with a horrible grief buried deep in his core, and the strongest Nightmare with an obsession towards mint ice-creams. When Ashleigh suddenly went missing on Sunday afternoon with no tracks and things went horribly awry in her household, the two Guides, whether they liked it or not, must team up together to save their child. Even when it meant being hunted down as fugitives, breaking work protocols, interrupting lucid dreams, or even getting sidetracked by ice-creams. Though, that was mostly the Nightmare's fault. × ps : this book is a mess okok go o d original story © greenleaf 1st person pov. narrated by the nightmare, which would guarantee you both horrible puns and beautiful--maybe weird--otherworldly words and also weird poem montages about ice-creams. (i still have no regrets)

Also Available On Inkitt "Can I ask you something?" She asked softly. "Sure," he smiled. She looked up at him. "Why did you want to be my friend? I mean, there were so many people to choose from. Why me? I'm not even worth it." "You looked so lonely. So sad, so hidden. You looked like you were so used to being silent. But I knew there was more to it than what meets the eye. I wanted to decode the mystery." He looked deep into her eyes. "So what do you want?" She held his gaze, even though she hated eye contact. He smiled softly and sang, "All I wanna be, all I ever wanna be, is somebody to you." ________________________________________________ Darkness and shadows were all she ever saw. She lived in silence, her whole world a monochromatic display that only she could see. Her red rimmed glasses only made clearer her strife and the elastic band on her left wrist reminded her of her long lived sorrow. She hid from the world, going unnoticed by everyone, slowly crumbling to dust on her own. That was all until one faithful day when someone did the unthinkable and decided that she was worth noticing. She was the girl in the grey hoodie. And he was someone who cared. Take your mind on a journey of two unique souls, sprinkle in a little friendship, a teaspoon of tears, a spoon of laughter and fun and maybe a pinch of violence and love with a hint of secrets. And while you wait for that delicious cake to bake, a good sing along won't hurt. When we receive a scar, the pain is even effective once the moment passes away. And not everyone can numb from the pain. Perhaps, yes, you may recover, but it stays with you. It's a part of you. We are losing ourselves - our humanity - in today's world as we chase after our individual dreams and fight through the challenges life throws our way. The idea of 'we' is lost to many and crowded by greed, lies and whatnot. Everyone is out there for himself or herself and at the end of the day, it is what they will get that matters most to them. They will do all they will have to do to get what they want regardless of who they take down along the way. That is morbid! Love is dead! Humanity is lost! But it isn't too late. We can always go back and pick up what we lost. This is just a wakeup call. Let us be each other's keeper, keep love and hope alive! Boakye D. Alpha Author Ghana, West Africa.
