The awkward, intelligent, and bespectacled Emma Leighs never expected to be shot on the very first day of her senior year in high school. Shot by a camera, that is. Emma Leighs has steered clear of every and any type of attention out there for pretty much her entire high school life, taking a liking to the more subtler things such as photography and caffeine-induced night blogging in her grandmother's humble cottage, all while perfectly content with hiding her dark history and secrets from the world around her. But the disturbingly beloved tradition of four attractive teenage boys, a broken camera, a downpour of rain, and a single photograph seems to finally acquire her of some (reluctant) friends. And maybe, just maybe, they'll teach her a thing or two about what she's been missing out on. (WARNING: Psychological and mature subjects are present in this story that could be triggering and/or intense for some, though the bigger lot of it mainly focuses on self discovery, accepting your flaws/mental disorders, and creating new bonds with the people around you as well as allowing them to be your support on the long road of recovery, so this story may be a bit slow paced. [Paranormal/A Winning Short Story] He's a sick man who has forgotten what he did to me. But I'm still around, and I'll get him for it.

Four John Does are found in an alleyway, holding a host of artifacts. Taken to Pinemont Psychiatric Facility for treatment, they cannot recall anything about their pasts. Between them runs a strong feeling that they are misplaced in time. As the medications are reduced, the patients begin to remember their names, as well as their possibly violent purpose. Their awakening could spell salvation or damnation for the residents of Pinemont.

At Chaplin High School, a group of students begin to have strange dreams they cannot explain. Sense these strange dreams are occurring, the students begin to draw what they see in these dreams...and outsiders of these dreams are concerned of what the dreams mean. And the drawings may concern the fate of the human race.

A high school boy named David, runs for his schools Cross Country team. He has enjoyed his season so far, but when a huge 5k race named Hollows Triumph, puts him in a deadly stand off between life and death, David soon realizes that every gasp of air he attempts while running, could be his last.

A Halloween-themed short story

If you see the #ProjectRefresh symbol on the cover of a book, it's an easy way to distinguish that the book offers some form of originality! Whether it is the synopsis, well structured characters, a shocking plot twist, etc. Those qualities, just to name a few, are what really make a book memorable and refreshing. This was a program specifically designed to help fellow readers and writers on Wattpad, and to make it overall easier to distinguish which works are original just by a quick glance at the cover. (:
