In the city famous for having an excess of superheroes, Jackson can travel to the place they are created. Afraid someone will use his power for evil, Jackson keeps to himself, hiding his extraordinary abilities. That is, until his high school learns he has powers. They may not know what they are, but his life is still turned upside down. Superpowers are always connected to a place, either in our world or outside it. And Jackson's world, both in and out, is getting more complicated. A shadowy society schemes in the background from the highest levels of Vera City's government. A locked door appears in the Library of Powers. The Writing Well sends a message. And someone is watching, perhaps even orchestrating it all. Jackson, however, has bigger problems to deal with, like pop quizzes, parties, and a snooping Principal. And even for the first time in his life, friends. Maybe, just maybe, his powers being revealed was a good thing. --- Originally called: The Writing Well, The Library of Powers, and Jackson.

With the progression of human society and the emergence of an ever-growing number of metahumans, there is unrest building in the vampire world; the struggle to remain hidden and striking from the shadows when they need to feed is becoming an increasing hassle, which they do not fancy. The two factions of the vampire society see different prospects as solutions. The Drucules, who already loathe the human race, wish to launch a preemptive strike on the human race in an effort to reduce its population. The Alucadians, more tolerant of humans, wish to emerge from the shadows with knowledge that could steer humanity into a lulling peace that would allow vampires alternatives to violence to obtain sustenance. Despite this, there is infighting within the vampire society that would see a civil war come about, infighting that seems to be fueled by a saboteur if anyone would care to observe events for more than two seconds. In the middle are Shade & Plasmasonic; their relationship could be on the line if the mystery behind this chaos is not uncovered. *Shade & Plasmasonic are illustrated by MarloMora. Cover created by me. All other illustrations throughout the story are credited to the illustrators in the comments.

"Trouble is my middle name." ~ Lillian Nightshade is a metaphorical rock in SHIELD's boot, one that not only has a mouth snarkier and more sarcastic than the hypothetical (and entirely impossible) baby of Tony Stark and Deadpool, but has a certain knack for slipping from the authorities' grasp on a regular basis. She's arrogant, she's witty, she's satirical, she's immature and she's one of the best damn assassins in the industry. Steve Rogers is the hero every man wants to be. He has a strong sense of duty, honour, dignity and humility, with old fashioned, idealistic goals that would make the world a better place. Some - namely Stark - would call him a stick in the mud and make a mockery of him by pinning him with obscene names like 'Fourth of July Stripper' or 'Walking Flagpole', but in the end, he's America's sweetheart with a golden legacy that will last for generations. So it's only natural that the two complete opposites - who are also each other's enemies- to clash the moment they meet one another, yes? Filled with action, revenge, old adversaries, humour and of course the lovely drizzle of a bipolar romance, this is the story of how a narcissistic assassin falls for one of Earth's Mightiest Heroes. Her enemy.
