It's Donnie's last week on earth, and he knows it. With all of his inhibitions gone he can do anything he wants without any risk, except for bringing death a few days sooner. The one thing in life he cares about is his childhood best friend Bea, who is abused by her stepfather. Once he decides to kill her stepfather, they go on a roadtrip to California wreaking havoc, and vigilante justice along the way. Some of my biggest inspirations for this book are David Foster Wallace, Quentin Tarantino, and Dante Alighieri. Braylin and Noah are just normal kids living their lives, until one day when they find an escaped reality-control experiment named Providence, who bestows them with incredible powers they call "essences" not long after, when the labs owners come calling, Noah and Braylin, with the help from their essences, must cross the world to keep Providence out of a power that could destroy the world.
