She feels they have a connection and she is eager to try to achieve the "Maharishi effect" with him. She believes that together their combined auras could change the world. This appeals to John's messiah complex. John is fixated on Yoko Ono at this time but Prudence is a welcome diversion since he is away from home and sleeping separately from his wife Cynthia. John abandons the song for now and they find a space to sit together and meditate. The effect is intense John hallucinatory but doesn't feel the planet shifting. Intuitively John makes a move on Prudence but she gracefully side steps his advances. However she agrees to meet him again the following night...
