Rustic and red combined making some unknown source valid for only a short while. Fumes enveloping every little detail and spectacle of air surrounded it with only a gleam in its upper right corner. Nothing to do but to hold on; the grasp breaks and you're falling down, down, down. Then what? Scream like its the end of the world? Or make due with what you have? Nothing but a glimpse. A short reality of what could happen and what is. The beginning of the beginning. Some say "beginning of the end." But the end can't be that real can it? One thing given to you only to be taken away the very next second? That's not very realistic. It's like begging on your knee's for money's worth to feed your family and as soon as you get the money, its taken right back out of your hand only to be given to pay the night's rent. "It happened again." She whispers, it's all she ever does now. Her psychiatrist writes something down and then nods for her to continue. "It was different this time, which is weird. Someone was with me. Not trying to hurt me but they were by my side the whole time and whenever something bad happened, he protected me." "This someone is a man? Why do you think he showed up now?" The psychiatrist is scribbling frantically as she continues. "He was talking to me. The stuffy sounding ears are still there but I could hear him, and ... I don't know why he showed up. He was just there this time. I didn't wake up either, not until the end of the dream." "Nightmare," psychiatrist corrects, "what happened at the end?" "Right, nightmare. It was quicker than me dying in the nightmares. This dark thing just rushed out of nowhere right before we made it to the light and he jumped infront of me to protect me but, he disappeared and then the light snuffed out and I woke up." Her whiper had turned more frantic as realization hit her. The light, that was the main goal for years in these nightmares. You make it into the light and everything will be fine, but this time the light was snuffed out. It was gone! Will it be there tonight, will she escape? What do you do when there's a risk of not waking up?
