Amber is a twenty-one-year-old who has always dreamed of becoming a psychologist. She especially wants to work with children, but to do so, she needs to gain experience with at least three adult clients first. Adults can be a bit more corporate compared to minors, so she needs to work with them to gain some experience. Her first job as a psychologist is with Alana, the sister of Asher Wright. Asher has been having trouble finding help for Alana because people are more interested in him than in helping his sister. Alana was in a car crash with her boyfriend; she survived, but he didn't. She doesn't want any help because, even amidst the trauma, she still cherishes the memories she has of him. Amber shares a similar experience with Alana, one she still struggles with, though professional help has made it better. She wants Alana to get the help she needs. Slowly, Asher starts to grow close to Amber because she is always at their house with Alana. Asher, who rarely goes home, starts arriving on time every day, which is a rare sight. The more Asher tries to get close to Amber, the more she pushes him away. Why?
