How are we going to face the world after your cowardly act? You put our lives in danger at home. You have no place here. We stand together. We stand in peace but you... You are a coward, selfish and evil. You don't care. I feel sorry for her but not for you." This land is where we stand our ground together against the likes of you.

"Please?" His voice pleading. His eyes, too. "Please what? Please what, asshole?" Kalmado kong tanong. Nararamdaman ko na naman ang galit na nabubuhay sa dibdib ko. He remained quiet for a moment so I decided to walk out. Again. "I'm sorry. I really am. I don't know how will I ever earn your trust again, but I want you to know that I am sorry for everything." I breathed heavily. Trying to regain my composure. Trying to find the right words to add up the fire consuming in my heart. Because if I won't, talo ako. Baka bumigay ako. Hindi na nga ako mahal, eh. "You have nothing to work for if you are thinking to regain my trust. Because in the first place? Hindi ko kailanman naibigay yun sayo, Corinth. So there is no point. Now if you'll excuse me." Agaran akong tumalikod para umalis. "Is that where you're good at? Ang hindi makinig? You haven't heard me yet." Puno ng hinanakit ang boses niya. Parang anumang oras, bibigay na talaga ako. Nanatili akong nakatalikod dahil natatakot ako. What if he'll see in my eyes clearly how much this thing is trying to rule over me. Na anumang oras, papatawarin ko siya. Ganito ba talaga pag mahal mo? You're willing to do impossible things? But who said forgiving the one you love is impossible? Only helpless people don't do that. Pag masyado mo kasing mahal, minsan pati sarili mo kinukunsinti mo na kahit alam mong hindi dapat. Kaya tayo nasasaktan. At wala tayong ibang dapat sisihin kundi ang mga sarili natin.

Paano nga ba mapapaibig ang isang babaeg sanay na mag-isa? Yung tipong walang balak mag karoon ng kasintahan o asawa, pero wait bago lahat ng iyon babae nga ba siya? Kung kumilos at manamit daig pa ang kuya niya.

While they were lost in their moment of rage and chaos, a loud bang came directly from the gate. At first, they didn't even hear it. Only Kodan stilled in his pacing steps. Then, the security alarms started going off. A quick sudden eerie silence fell in the room and brought everyone's opinion to a halt. No one moved or spoke another word. The second alarm went off and that forced Kaobi to abandon the statue image he'd worn for but a minute and willed his legs to the security screen by the corner of the room close to the main exit. The swift sound of the camera moved and what met Kaobi's investigative gaze was a scene of pure terror. He counted ten of the security men laying in the pool of their own blood. Five from the front and the back were all stone still in death. Fear sneaked into his guts and began to swirl there like the whirlwind. He knew at that point that him and his family were in severe danger. He breathed to still his shaky hands. Clusters of thick sweat congregated on his face. His palm melted tighter to the the screen modem. Then, he searched 360° through the lenses of the outdoor mounted cameras, the invaders were yet to be seen. At this point, he knew, there was no better way but to inform his family and activate plans B. With his eyes widened in shock and his heart thumping ferociously in his rib cage, he turned to face the people he had done everything to protect. Just as he turned to face them, Veronica was standing just an inch away from him, bumping into his trembling body. He gasped and almost fell in this own steps. She grabbed him and searched his horror filled eyes. "Talk to me!" She pulled him closer to her bosom. The heavy deep sigh that came from his lungs was enough to tell her that trouble has come knocking.
