This is normal. This is platonic. My best friend is sitting on my lap. My roommate is asleep in the next room. Amsterdam is in lockdown. And I am fine. I am not fine. Jill Wijntuin is a 25-year-old spoken word poet with no stage, no income, and a five-year crush on the very straight best friend she should have gotten over years ago. Then her ceiling floods, her room becomes unlivable, and she ends up in her roommate Tara's bed. Tara is not part of the plan. Tara is weird and dramatic and dangerously comfortable with personal space. She keeps looking at Jill like she can see something Jill is trying very hard not to say out loud. Locked inside a Jordaan apartment with one crush she needs to survive and one roommate she absolutely should not want, Jill makes three emergency plans: Plan A: survive lockdown without losing her mind. Plan B: stop being in love with her very straight best friend. Plan C: avoid Tara at all costs. Unfortunately, Tara lives here. Updates Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Bonus chapters sometimes on Sundays. Mature sapphic lockdown romance/dramedy. Contains explicit consensual sexual content, grief, family conflict, and pandemic themes. #2 Lesbian romance #13 Slowburn #1 Quarantine #4 Lesbianfiction #1 Amsterdam #5 queerromance

Months ago, during a study tour to the Government Microbiology Department, a student accidentally broke a petridish with the engineered microorganism. Instead of reporting it, they hid it - the organism mutated into a deadly airborne virus. When the deadly virus engulfs the planet, three young scientists become humanity's last hope. In a frozen, abandoned world, they must race against time - and each other - to find the cure hidden deep within the ruins of what we once called home. But the earth does not forgive so easily. And sometimes, what we save is not what we expect. In this chilling tale of survival, sacrifice, and secrets, the question remains: When the Earth weeps, who will listen? Now, Aarya and her team must: •Develop a cure - find the missing link to stop the virus. •Explore the depths and uncover the incident . •Survive raids, betrayals, and human violence as civilization collapses. This is also the first draft of the story that I'm currently writing and I wanted to post this just for fun! :) *TW: There are some topics that may or may not be comfortable for some readers, so I indicated certain sections with brackets ( these: [] ) There is also mention of a certain virus. If you are not comfortable reading about that, please do not read the story!* As always, have fun and please keep the comments chill! :) ||DISCLAIMER|| ALL RIGHTS GO TO LIN-MANUEL MIRANDA ET. AL. You must have seen this type of story coming. It's the year 2020 after all. Two girls, in love, stuck in qurantine. It may sound like an easy, predictable love story. Maybe it is, although easy certainly wouldn't be the word June and Emma would use to describe their situation. June is a 19 year old Australian who just moved to the States. Right before Covid hit she took a flight from Melbourne to Los Angeles. Now she is here, in the city of fame. No place to stay, not many opportunities. Emma has spent all 20 years of her life in LA. She's a Cali girl through and through. Her and June don't have much in common besides one thing: Both were hit hard by Covid. Emma has a place to stay, but no way to afford it on her own now that she lost her job. The solution is obvious: June moves in with Emma, they split the costs. Seems easy. There is just one problem: Emma doesn't seem to like June at all and June, well June has a crush. A crush on a certain pretty brunette Cali girl. Young Adult/ New Adult girlxgirl love story

This is a small poem I wrote about 2020 as an HW assignment for Senior year. It is called a Found Poem, or at least, it is supposed to be. Sources for the Poem: 1. Low-key F2020 lyrics 2. Pink 90 days lyrics 3. For King and Country Together lyrics 4. To stop with COVID-19 spread in schools, start with local data and do the math article. https://www.ucsf.edu/news/2020/08/418301/stop-covid-19-spread-schools-start-local-data-and-do-math 5. Conversations I've had with family, and things I say pretty much on a daily Enjoy! Constructive Criticism is always helpful. Disclaimer: I don't own the sources at all, I just used some of the lines for the Found Poem.

Imagine that your country was being bombed because people living in it have a disease. Imagine that you were separated from your parents during the bombing. Imagine that you and a bunch of your friends were running to a bunker behind your house during the bombing while global warming was happening. Imagine that you soon find out that the only family you had left was dead. Imagine that this may become reality.
