A crew from Earth is sent to a nearby planet to determine if it is habitable. During their mission, they find that not only is it habitable, it has been inhabited previously. As Frozen ended for the fourth time that day, Scout let out a whimper and curled himself further into Kai. They rubbed gentle circles on his back before telling him that it was time to head up to bed. When they went to pick him up to carry him upstairs, Scout screamed in pain and they suddenly noticed how warm his little body felt and grabbed the thermometer to check his temperature again. "Shit," they muttered as the thermometer beeped, alerting them of his rising fever. "102.3? How did I not realize it was getting this high?"
