Stella:
Nate Miller was my first crush. Growing up together in a small town in Northern Michigan, I was like a little sister to him. I didn't have a mom, so his mother stepped in and filled that void in my life. By the time I was twelve, I was madly in love with him. Or so I thought. I realize now that I'm grown up, it was probably more infatuation than love. It was totally one-sided, of course. I was a geek with acne, braces and a flat chest. Nate was a high school football star. And he was five years older than me.
Fast forward ten years. I just completed my MBA at Stanford, and I'm back home living with my dad until I figure out what I want to do with the rest of my life. My acne and braces are gone, but I'm still a geek, and my chest is still flat. And Nate Miller wants to marry me.
Nate:
I haven't been home in two years. I've been too busy working as a freelance photographer in California. But after my girlfriend demanded we get married and settle down, I packed up my truck and drove home to Michigan.
When my childhood friend offers me a last minute spot on his tv show, I know I can't pass up the once in a lifetime opportunity. Marathon of Adventure is a reality show where contestants race across the world for a million dollar prize. There's only one problem. I need a partner. And she has to be my wife.
