Inspired by "Me Too" and my thoughts since the day that changed my life happened. I originally posted this on another account but forgot the password. Since I last posted (a year ago) he has committed suicide.

The Awakening is a soul-baring journey across the 7 pivotal years that shaped the woman I am becoming---from the fragile hope of 14 to the raw becoming at 21. 'It's fine, it's just a small crack,' people often say. This is not simply a crack; it has already been through a great deal of tribulation and struggle before it finally gives way. That's not "just a crack," it's a crack that will open and collapse by itself, leaving no one unharmed.
