This takes place in Alexandria. Everyone knows the Rick family of misfits but will the family except the new cupple? This is a Rickyl and will only be updated if asked to. This will pluck at the heart strings but will have a happy ending. This is a one shot but if you wish for it to be a story it can be. There will be no smutt only fluff. **This story will branch off of the season 5 midseason finale.....only this time, Beth survived.** Beth Greene, an innocent young girl, was viewed as weak and uncapable to survive in this apocalyptic world. Throughout her journey, she has learned new skills that have made her grow as a survivor, and she wants to stay alive. After her father's death, the emotions Daryl and her went through, and the imprisonment at the hospital, she must learn to never let her guard down. *I do NOT own any of these characters. All rights belong to AMC and The Walking Dead. I plan on branching out my own story on this, but some scenes relating to the comic and TV show may make an appearance, but with an added twist*

Daryl Dixon is dealing with the recent death of his brother, Merle. He's on his way back to the apartment that he and his brother shared when he bumps into Rick Grimes, a police officer dealing with divorcement. The two seem to be what the other needed to help them get through the pain that comes with living life.

These thoughts was cut short when he heard the loud laughs of little girls across the yard; He stood up and walked towards them, a little girl with brown hair and green eyes turned towards the redneck and asked, "Hey, Mr. Dixon! Wanna play with us?" "What're y'all playing?" Daryl replied curiously. "Pretend." The little girl replied.

The story is set in Atlanta, Georgia. Mr. Grimes, a new math professor at Lincoln University, is known to his former students as some one like your friend, being laid back. He's fun but can be serious when he has to be. Daryl Dixon, a student at Lincoln, a quiet young man with many feelings that are buried within him. These two become close over time. Maybe closer than they'd expect. *Short Chapters*

Rick is a lonely guy who possesses little meaning in life. Somewhere along the line, duty calls. Training for the newest member of Atlanta City's Police Department, the lowlife, "Daryl Dixon" climbs aboard. Not only has the stray man built a reputation for himself through past crimes, hijinks, and so-on, but Rick finds himself struggling with wavering patience and courage as he takes charge in practice. A decent amount of composure will have to be applied as he's forced to tame this reckless animal. Will Rick's life change for the better or will he find himself stuck in the endless loops of misery he's been bound to for the past 27 years?
