What if the roles we play are just cages we build ourselves? Dr. Maya Osei is a therapist specializing in BDSM relationships, and she's exhausted. Every day, she sees couples tearing themselves apart trying to fit rigid roles-dominant, submissive, switch-as if the authenticity of their desire depended on their ability to stay in a box. She sees James insisting he's "a dominant by nature" while secretly dreaming of letting go. She sees Veronica forcing herself to be submissive when she sometimes wants to lead. The ideology of role fixity in the kink community is destroying exactly what it was meant to liberate: authentic desire. So Maya begins formulating a radical theory: what if roles were fluid? What if dominant and submissive weren't identities but states, contextual responses to the needs of the moment? What if true synergy in a relationship came from the ability to dance between roles rather than being locked into them? What begins as a therapeutic hypothesis becomes a personal revolution when Maya must apply her own theory to her life-and discover that deconstructing others' roles is easier than deconstructing her own.

They met on set as co-stars in a romcom movie-just two people pretending to be in love for the cameras. Lines were scripted, scenes were planned, and nothing was supposed to be real. But between late-night rehearsals, something starts to feel different. What happens when pretending to fall in love starts to feel too real?

"niche" - a comfortable or suitable position in life or employment. -something we seek for in our life, a purpose, or "a role" ··· Meana never fitted in with the rest of her pack. They all consisted of either graceful and quick runners, or elegant berry pickers with their nimble fingers. But, Meana was different. Instead of gentle berry paws or speedy runner legs, Meana was born with 2 claws, a big body, and ugly-looking ram horns. She was basically a creature built to snatch all the bunnies, or to fight off the terrifying beasts called the carnivores. Meana was designed to attack, to wound, to kill. But that wasn't at all her nature. That was just her family's perspective of her. Thrown out of her pack, Meana decides to go on an adventure, to find out really what her role is. ··· This is a fanfiction based on the game, "Niche: A Genetics Survival Game". Most of what is in the story are not mine, they belong to the owners of the game. I only own the plot and some other features I will be adding to the story. My friends and I role play a lot in this website called chatzy.com. We have this whole world mapped out based on the Hunger Games. We live in two mansions. One is the main mansion, where we all used to live until it got really crowded, and then the second mansion belongs to Gracie. Her mansion is by a waterfall, just a ten minute walk away. Most of us have super powers. I mean, if the Capitol can make mutts, surely we can give ourselves super powers. Gracie has black wings, Talia has super speed, Chris has super strength, Derrick and Cameron can make themselves invisible. Nina can make herself invisible and make force fields too. We all have issues here. Sierra doesn't talk. Chris is a germaphobe. Chase cuts himself. We all have reasons for running away from the districts and the Capitol, but we've all found sanctuary here. This is the third book of our adventures.
