What if there were two other pairs that took part in the original story? Two pairs that would walk alongside Kate and Emilico down the dark, dangerous path of revealing the secrets of the Shadows house. Secrets that reside in both the realm of Shadow masters and Living dolls. (I don't own Shadows house. So-ma-to is the owner. all I own is my original characters that I wrote into Shadows house )

What is rum made from? The origin of rum dates back to antiquity. Let's just take a walk back to the origins of rum. The first thing that comes to your mind is pirates and the sailors. You picture breezy cocktails, white sand beaches, and salty ocean breezes. Eventually, Rum went on to become an economic power and was used as a means of trade. Additionally, its popularity among the colonists grew multifold, increasing its value as a means of exchange. Different kinds of Rum Did you know that different kinds of rum are produced in different places? Each place has a distinct flavor. For example, rum produced in the Islands of Bermuda, Jamaica, and Barbados is dark with a strong taste of molasses. The Islands of Haiti, for example, are based on sugar cane juice. And places like Puerto Rico, Colombia, and Venezuela, produce aged rum with a smoother taste and richer aroma. White rum White rum is light in flavor often used in cocktails that do not need an overpowering rum flavor. The aging process is usually about a year or more and hence does not have the flavor of more matured rums. Gold Or Pale Rum Aged in barrels over extended periods of time, gold rum derives its color from this process. Making a strong cocktail? Gold rum works best. Dark Rum Typically aged for a long amount of time, oak barrels add a distinct flavor and color. Black Rum The dark, rich color and caramel flavor come from the remnants of rich molasses and caramel flavoring that is usually leftover while making crystallized sugar. They give out sweet, spicy, strong flavors with a charred essence. This is because black rums are aged in barrels that are heavily charred. Flavored and Spiced Rum As the name suggests, this rum is infused with spices adding a unique taste to the palate. Think of rum cakes, think of spiced rum For more information on how you can sample or order our world-class, high-quality rums visit https://seaspiritsdistillery.com/

A regular feature for the sailors of the Royal British Navy was the Rum given to them every single day, right up until 1970. A tradition that has been the longest running in military history was unquestioningly accepted and carried out from 1655 until August 1st, 1970 - a day referred to as 'Black Tot Day'. The Rum Ration, or tot, was the everyday dose of rum given to sailors on Royal Navy ships. A custom that was followed for over 300 years, it was believed to boost the morale of the sailors whose workplace was the decks of an 18th century ship. Nothing comfortable or easy about cannonballs, gunpowder and the rough seas! Now, imagine the days before complex ship machinery and refrigeration came into being. Food on the voyages was often rotten and would develop algae in the extreme weather conditions. Life at sea wasn't easy; it was tireless working for months with great risk of injury involved. The daily rum was what came to the rescue for the homesick and seasick sailors, the best the sailors could get. Interestingly spirited!
