The rabbit and the wolf. The predator and it's prey. Collin and Mark have known each other since the second grade. Mark was never much of a talker; Collin always was. Mark, him being himself, had an infatuation with rabbits. Every single page of his sketchbook, every single word he'd written, it was *rabbits*. It was as if his interest was so intense that he began to turn into one. Wide eyes, always poised to bolt, alert of everything surrounding him, yet nobody aware of his presence.. except Collin. Mark was so busy noticing and observing everyone else, that he never really had the time to allow himself to be observed. It's as if he had been stuck in a loop; an unchanging, lonely loop. Mark never really even paid attention to himself, his wide eyes always darting around the room, his expression always somewhat frantic. He didn't matter, not in his own eyes. To everyone else, he was invisible, a part of a wall that nobody took the time to acknowledge. It seemed as though his voice, his opinion, his words, were the most protected thing about him, the one thing he'd never let be seen. It was almost as if he was *scared* of being observed, as if the predator noticed him, he would be eaten. Collin being aware of him had been a mystery to Mark, until now. It was shocking, really. Petrifying, obviously. Collin was a wolf, a predator; one that would gladly eat him for lunch if given the chance.
