But things are a little (umm....may be a lot....) different in India. When you decide to get married Errr ..wait... YOU don't decide to get married here . The others around you decide , when you should get married and whom you would get married to . Here ... , it all depends upon your social status in the marriage market where nobody is bothered about the 'person' being 'right'. It is just assumed that a person belonging to a certain family or having a particular social status, with certain looks (and may be qualification) is the right person for you irrespective of your choice. I understand that the above stated scenario may not be true for all cultures / families in India, but there is no denying the fact that it is true for most........a major part of India.
