πŸ† 2025 Amby Favorite πŸ† Edmund Westworth (26), the third Earl of Beaumont, and the most eligible bachelor in London, unknowingly started a tradition he now regrets. At age twenty-two he danced the first dance at the season opening ball at Almack's with a young lady who became the toast of the season. The next year he did the same. Every year since, he has danced one dance, to fulfill his mother's requirement. And every year his dance partner becomes the most sought after girl of the season. Some think he has a gift, Edmund thinks he could pick any girl and 'the ton' would deem her desirable based on his dance alone. His friends disagree and bet him 100Β£ to choose a dance partner who couldn't possibly entice the gentlemen of London. When her father suddenly passes away, Elizabeth Cavendish (20) has to move in with her aunt's family. With the estate entailed, Elizabeth needs to find a husband quickly or her aunt will install her into a governess or lady's companion position, which would severely hinder Beth's ability to work on her scientific experiments. Garbed in her cousin's horrific dresses from last season, she only has a few weeks to find a husband before she is doomed to tedious work for the rest of her life. She finds an unlikely accomplice in the Earl of Beaumont. Please don't copy any part of my story in any form (including Youtube) without my permission. Eleanor Fairleigh arrives in London with no intention of causing a stir. She wishes only to observe, to understand, and-if possible-not to be paraded before the loudest and most persistent suitors of the Season. Unfortunately, she has been placed under the care of Lady Cordelia Ashcroft, a friend of her grandmother's as respectable as she is dangerously brilliant, and firmly convinced that the best way to protect a young lady is to present her-carefully, and with impeccable timing. As the Ton sets itself in motion with balls, intimate invitations, and an embarrassing number of suddenly attentive gentlemen, Eleanor navigates the Season with courtesy, intelligence, and a remarkable talent for being underestimated. Lady Cordelia, meanwhile, pretends to be in earnest search of the perfect husband for her protΓ©gΓ©e, while thoroughly enjoying every step of the process. Observing it all with outward composure is Julian, Viscount Ravenscroft: irreproachable gentleman, reluctant social strategist, and entirely convinced that he feels no interest whatsoever in Lady Cordelia's young charge. After all, esteem is not love. Attention is not jealousy. And irritation is certainly not emotional involvement. Or is it? Between rules obeyed only in appearance, conversations far too intelligent to be innocent, and a Season that tests even the steadiest of characters, With Due Discretion tells the story of how one may fall in love slowly, properly... and in the most intense way possible: by following the rules of the Ton to the letter.

A war took his leg and the life he expected. One invitation gave him reason to live again. Captain Emmett Shaw, now Lord Shaw, returned from the War of 1812 without his leg and the future he once envisioned. Five years of bitterness and slow acceptance have left him quiet, observant, and far more comfortable with paintbrushes and canvases than with crowded drawing rooms. When his aunt suggests a restorative stay at Eastbury Manor, Emmett agrees, never suspecting the invitation will alter the course of his life. She planned her Season to perfection. Fate had other ideas. Lady Evelyn Wyndham has planned her debut London Season since she wore her hair in braids. She carries a diary of gowns, ball invitations, and eligible suitors with determined enthusiasm. But when her father falls ill, and her presence at home proves more hindrance than help, she is sent to her uncle's estate, only to discover her most insufferable cousin by marriage is already in residence. Resolved to leave the very next day, Evelyn instead finds herself agreeing to a most improper arrangement. A fake engagement. What begins as a convenient deception-designed to draw out a mysterious source-quickly becomes far more complicated. Forced into close quarters, Emmett and Evelyn must confront old grievances, unspoken wounds, and a growing attraction neither anticipated. Because pretending to be betrothed is far easier than risking one's heart.

Dash Blathwayt, Viscount Dyrham, loathes surprises. He prides himself on order and control, and his meticulously planned annual summer party at Dyrham Park is meant to proceed without a single misstep. But when he wakes to a peculiar white cloud drifting across the horizon, he has no idea it heralds a storm of events that will upend his carefully governed life. A locket holds the key to Dia's past and her future. Miss Dia Daywater never expected her quiet life as a French tutor to end in flight. Raised in a French orphanage and trained to serve the English aristocracy, she has learned to survive by keeping her head down and her life mapped out. But when her mysterious locket draws dangerous attention, Dia is forced to flee straight onto the grounds of Dyrham Park and into the path of its enigmatic master. As danger closes in and forced proximity blurs the lines between duty and desire, Dia must decide whether to trust the man offering her refuge. She knows all too well that a woman in her position has no place in the heart-or the life-of a viscount. Book Four in the A-Z of Romance: Regency series. This is a standalone story, but there are some connections to the other novels in the series. Author's note: Final editing in progress. His grief drives him to escape his Dukal duties during the autumn season to a nostalgic destination. Harvest Inn, a quaint countryside manor he'd spent many visits to with his family in the past was just the place. Fantasizing about riding horseback through the apple orchards and leisurely reading in the library in front of a roaring fireplace would be the cure to his broken heart. That is until he meets another Harvest Inn guest. Clara Beachum, an aspiring novelist interrupts his solitude with her intelligence and confidence, something he's never seen in a woman before. Will Thomas find a cure for his heartache? Or will the Harvest Inn draw him towards a new direction in his life? *This story contains mild language, depictions of alcohol, and some sexual content*

Note: This book is the second in the Acklam Series. The story is a completed novel, translated chapter by chapter weekly. Faith Acklam harbored a deep disdain for the aristocracy. However, lately she had discovered another thing she loathed even more: Noah Binham's views on marriage. The young man was impossible to silence when it came to his ramblings about true love and the "right person"! Yet, Faith had a plan. In this way, she could free all of society from Noah's speeches and help him find his "right person." Noah Binham had quietly lost faith in the possibility of finding true love. From the outside, everyone believed he was merely waiting for the right person. Yet, he felt too desperate to truly grasp that notion. So desperate, in fact, that his closest friend, Henry, had started suggesting that people marry him! But Henry was not the only one who noticed his desperation and wished to help; his sister Faith was now involved as well.

Regency Romantasy | Slow Burn | Magic & Manners When Lady Eveline Harcourt arrives in London for her first Season, she expects gossip, gowns, and marriage proposals-not ghosts of truth shimmering beneath the city's polished surface. Gifted with the dangerous ability to see lies, Eveline must navigate Mayfair's glittering world of drawing rooms and deception without revealing her secret. Under the watchful eye of her formidable Aunt Margery, she is taught that charm is currency, silence is safety, and cleverness is a sin. But London hides more than flirtations and fortune hunters. A chance encounter at a masquerade exposes a stranger whose aura burns brighter than any she's seen-an enigmatic man whose secrets pulse with the same magic as her own. As Eveline's gift grows stronger, so do the whispers about her mother's death, the family's fading fortune, and the shadowed forces that move behind society's gilded curtain. Torn between duty and discovery, she must decide whether to obey the rules of the Season... or break them entirely. Because in a city built on illusions, truth may be the most dangerous enchantment of all.
