Imagine this; a world with heroes. And I'm not talking about those sappy ads recruiting you for the army. I'm talking seriously, honest-to-crap, superheroes. It's nuts, right?! Oh, and I killed one of them. Like, a big deal one of them. Me. Weird, gangly, teenage Sid. So, I get a bad rap, and, though no one knows who I am, it's still dangerous. But..... I like it. It seems fun. I mean, I've got to get mom off my back to get a job, could always use some attention, even if no one knows it's me, and, like I said, it's fun. So long as you dont think about the families. *authors note. I dont condone anything in this book. dont do it and then say I said you could. I'm saying now, not to. you forget that I'm just some twisted author, sitting in a room, typing. I am not the person you should be going to for hobby advice* *also, language *

I might have been a young heiress, sought after by many suitors, had an immeasurable wealth, but all those days are now behind me. My life now is certainly not luxury. Instead of glittering parties and fine garments, there are filthy rags and the stench of the dead and dying. Instead of gourmet food displayed for all there's barely any food for all. The world I live in now is far worse than the one I left. The world I live in now is not that of the aristocrats and their pompous ways, but that of the proletariat. Why would I Aurore Chevalier, born into the ranks of the aristocracy be living the life of a lowly peasant? The answer's not as simple as one thinks, however the truth is, I myself am still unsure of the reason. There are bits and pieces of memories that I've put together, over time they've returned to me, yet so many parts have been left out. With my memory shattered it's all I can do to survive on my own.
