In this alternate universe, Anne creates a tragic tale of romance based on this chapter of her life to cope with all her emotions. In the library one day, Anne and Diana run into Diana's childhood friend, Royal Gardner, a charming young man who happens to be the son of a publisher. "When one book is finished, open another. It's an adventure that will end in tragedy or happiness, but an adventure nonetheless." This is based on Netflix's and CBC's "Anne with an 'E'," and the book series "Anne of Green Gables" by Lucy Maud Montgomery.

The Avonlea girls have begun their journey at Queens; Gilbert has begun his at the University of Toronto; Jerry has just moved in with Matthew and Marilla at Green Gables; Ka'wet is still at the school in Halifax with her parents still waiting for her. What happened to all of them after the show ended? That "remains to be seen".

An unpredictable mare causes trouble for Anne as she learns to ride a horse and Anne doesn't waste an opportunity to pull an unsuspecting Gilbert down with her. Anne is now 16 and her best friend is Cole MacKenzie. A lot of the backgrounds ave been changed, but the characters and their personalities are the same. :)
