In the silk-producing valleys of the Kingdom of Naples, Renza, the daughter of a respected silk merchant, has been raised within the careful order of family and tradition. Lucien arrives as a restless outsider, marked by a past he cannot escape. Around them move others bound by secrecy and survival, including a spy for the Inquisition trained to live between two worlds. As tensions deepen and suspicion spreads through Silk County, their lives draw toward a tragic event history has nearly erased. Echoing the ancient myth of Galatea and Acis in a 16th century setting, Silk County explores how love endures in fragile and often dangerous spaces, where even the most delicate threads can bind souls across time. #ONC2026 contest. Story is complete.

PROTOCOL CLARITY "Everything is possible if only you choose to believe." That is the lie glowing in gold on Alma's wall every morning. Everyone around her chooses to believe, smiling at digital skies and breathing synthetic scents of blossoms. Armed with sharp wit and a mechanical broom, Alma is the only "glitch" who sees the soot beneath the render. She holds a forbidden pendant and seeks a truth everyone else has long forgotten. She wasn't supposed to notice a jagged charcoal mark on a bare concrete wall, and she certainly wasn't supposed to find out she isn't alone. In a world polluted by pixels, she is the one who sees the rot beneath the polish. Because in a world of forced happiness, being awake is a capital crime.

To interdimensional traveler Ryder Steele, a new Earth usually just means a new radio station to dial into. But when his ship, the Cosmo X, lands in a distorted timeline of Earth, he's greeted only by static and an eerie, looping broadcast: "Purity is peace. Order is freedom." Ryder has stumbled into New Washington-a sterile, rain-slicked dystopia ruled by the iron grip of President Baron Vane. Here, compliance is mandatory, the air is choked by drone patrols, and every citizen's worth is violently decided by a mandatory biometric chip embedded beneath their skin. Blue means safe. Red means you disappear into the restricted Sectors forever. When Ryder steps in to save a Sector kid from a brutal Enforcer patrol, he unwittingly paints a target on his own back. With the Cosmo X locked down by a city-wide surveillance grid and his own biometric signature flagged as an "unknown variable," the easy exit he's used on thirty other Earths is suddenly gone. Now, trapped in a timeline where resistance is a death sentence, Ryder is pulled into the city's hidden underground. To survive, he'll have to ally with Ameria Justice-a former superhero broken by the regime-and a scrappy political campaign trying to fight a rigged system from the shadows. Ryder Steele is used to running. But on an Earth that has forgotten how to fight back, he might just have to stay and finish the job.

As the stars themselves begin to glitch, Elias must face a terrifying truth: The sky is a lattice of mirrors, and the human race is living inside a curated reality. Power was never the problem. Control was. In a fractured, dystopian Nigeria, the elite Uppers rule with iron fists and marble halls, while the Lowers and Rejects survive on scraps-and silence. A government-issued drug called Nullisyn keeps the population obedient, suppressing superhuman abilities before they can awaken. Michael is just another Reject trying to stay invisible. Haunted by a brutal past and bound to a daily dose of lies, he lives for one thing only: keeping his crew alive. But when a single act of defiance exposes the truth behind Nullisyn, everything changes. As dormant powers awaken and the State tightens its grip, Michael and his friends are forced into a rebellion they never planned-against a regime led by Supreme Leader Jide, the architect of the system... and the monster tied to Michael's deepest scars. What begins as survival becomes revolution. From the slums to the shattered gates of Abuja, Rise of the Rejects is a story of power, sacrifice, found family, and the question that could burn a nation to the ground: Can those cast aside by society rise high enough to change it?

The sky has stopped bleeding, but the Regime is always hungry. Across the nation of Geordyne, the "Fourteeners" are being harvested. They are the brightest young minds of a crumbling world - the inventors, the rebels and the forgotten - and they are Marshal Cadoc's most-feared threat. From the soot-choked alleys of Castlefye to the glistening dunes of Onaaba, all the way to the frozen forest of Indigo Steep, an unspoken pact is in motion. For Owen and Bryn, it begins with a mysterious carriage manned by a lanky giant. For others, the path to sanctuary is paved with lights and shadows. Plucked from their lives by fate or by force, this disparate group is thrust into a world of trials and a secret academy hidden beyond the maps. But the Yorne Academy of Life is more than a refuge. It is a forge for a revolution. These are the chronicles of the pupils who were never supposed to disembark. A small army of progress in a world that wants them silent. The gears are turning. The tide is rising. And the Gooubs are in formation. Are you brave enough to be lost? Follow me on IG for news, insights and more: @KassandraNiklaus

"6,000 Guys like you", the 8th volume in my series The Right People, centers on the planning and execution of a staged hijacking to secure of the escape from Germany of the surviving Palestinian perpetrators of the Munich Olympic Games attack ahead of the 1972 federal elections. To accomplish this, Tom and his friends travel to Syria, Libya and Egypt, where they negotiate with representatives the Libyan government and the Palestinians over the terms of the prisoners' release. Back in Germany, at the German Ministry of Defense on the HardthΓΆhe in Bonn, they witness the dramatic events during and immediately after the hijacking of the Lufthansa Boeing 727 Kiel. Along the way, two of Tom's friends, Hamit and Phil, encounter a pair of street musicians in Ireland who prove to be IRA couriers, as well as an ambitious figure determined to become the world's largest hashish dealer. The months portrayed in this volume are marked by tension, intrigue, and escalating stakes. Although the novel is grounded in extensive research into the historical context, it is a work of fiction. All characters, including public officials mentioned, as well as the events depicted, are entirely fictional. New chapters are published every Friday. The cover photo depicts the German war memorial in Tobruk/Libya

"No, Lana! You will not be a part of this mission." I slam my hands on the table in frustration. Lana is practically vibrating with anger. "But Iris, I want to help! You expect me to just sit by while you all go charging into battle?!" I groan, leaning back in my chair. "Lana, you're sixteen! If the King finds out you're part of the resistance, you might be sacrificed. As your mentor, it's my job to keep that from happening." Lana stands up, her chair scraping harshly against the stone floor. "Fine!" she says angrily before storming out. "Lana!" I call after her, before sighing and rubbing my temples. "Iris, you did the right thing. She's too young," says a voice from behind me. "I sure hope so, Mister Wulfric. I sure hope so," I say, looking up at the grey-haired man sadly. I stand up, shaking off the doubt. "We need to get ready. The ritual starts in a few days; there's no time to waste."

Peace was never meant to feel like survival.. When silence was praised, she chose resistance. Some stories do not offer comfort, they ask you to wake up. This is the story of Oishani Koley - a simple girl with quiet dreams. But life has something else planned for her. As she grows, she begins to question patriarchy. She refuses to blindly believe in superstitions. She chooses logic over fear, courage over silence. Yet when life takes an unexpected turn, will she be strong enough to fight it? Since the story is rooted in a Bengali girl's life, there will be some Bengali dialogues, just some.. English translations are added alongside for those dialogues to keep the flow smooth for all readers. Happy Reading!

One year after the Battle of Exegol, scattered remnants of the First Order threaten to regroup in the Outer Rim. Resistance Agent Volition is dispatched to Batuu, tasked with investigating their growing activity. She is partnered with Rings, a stoic and mysterious mercenary with secrets of his own. With each battle fought and each piece of intel uncovered, their trust in each other strengthens. But in typical Resistance fashion, things rarely go according to plan, sending the unlikely duo across the Outer Rim on a bold mission to end the First Order threat once and for all... Author's Note: I stayed as true to Star Wars canon and lore as possible. The two main characters, Rings and Volition, were created by me. This story focuses on character growth, engaging dialogue with some fun banter, tight action sequences, and some well known guest appearances. The tone is Star Wars PG fan fiction, so there's no swearing (does Dank farrik count?) and no excessive violence. I broke the chapters up into smaller "Episodes" to make it easier to digest. A fun and (hopefully) enjoyable read for any Star Wars fan. Your feedback is highly encouraged and greatly appreciated!
