My story is about youth and how often youths dreams, voices, ideas , and ambitions are stut down by close-minded people who tell you what things have to be and how things will work out and how everyone as a person should act or talk or portray themselves.

Generation Z, we are the present and we are the future.

This is a story about a young girl who's parents go on a vacation, but seem to never return. She meets new people and loses old people, but it makes her stronger. (We use pictures/characters from the game The Walking Dead.) Messages me if you have any requests!

I've been selected to write this letter in partnership with RiseUp powered by Kids Help Phone, where African, Caribbean, and Black youth can get wellness support by visiting KidsHelpPhone.ca/RISE or texting RISE to 686868. I'm excited to be a part of this because my own kid is entering high school, so for me, it's as much a letter to him as it is to my past self. Young Black kids deserve to have the guidance of perspective and mentors. I believe I'm in a position to inspire and support by sharing my own experiences.

original idea by me! - work in progress - a boy. his friend. his dream. the tears. archie was born with a mental problem. he has trouble learning. if a sentence could describe him, it would be 'if lonely came to life.' he has one friend. neil. but neil has to move to new york as his dad got a job there. archie, as just entered senior year, also known as a difficult time for students, especially for those like archie. he wants to go to the moon and become an astronomer. but the only way for him to actually achieve his goals, he has to finish high school. life is hard for archie, and he feels like he won't make it. he wants to be good, but he feels bad. he will get through this, right?

I'm so tired of society's constant judgment. As said, our history shaped who we are, which means that our ancestors' mistakes follow us. I'm tired of society labeling us because of our ancestors' faults; I wish to be judged for who I am, not who my family was. This is what happens when a young girl is Fed Up with society's judgment, fake friends, and two-faced hypocrites; she forms literature with it. "If I have this ability to form my thoughts into moving pieces of literature, I'd like to use this gift to move someone and make them think. Poetry is my way of getting out the words I never could get out with my mouth due to fear. But I'm not afraid anymore. If I can touch someone's heart with my words, I will do so to the best of my abilities."
