What do two dashing adversaries, a nightly escapade, and a blind date all have in common? Apparently, me. Convinced by my best friend to actually enjoy a Friday night out, I reluctantly agree to meet up with someone I never met before. Because, nothing about that last part sounds like a bad idea, right? Harmless. Well, in that case, have I got a story for you... ***A short story created in the spirit of dabbling in a different genre than I normally write in for a contest; the prompt being to tell what happened on a blind date. My best friend is always setting me up with a blind date. Once again, I reluctantly accepted a blind date because it beats spending another Friday night alone. Except this time, it may have been better if I had stayed home instead.

Scarf. Check. Purse. Check. Pepper spray. Check. A night of disappointment. Check, check and check. Kylie knew how this night was going to go, just like any other date she's been on. Oh boy, was she in for a surprise.

The most awaited night comes to Akira when she was given a chance to watch her all time favorite movie in a real theater.
