Convinced by my best friend to actually enjoy a Friday night out, I reluctantly agree to meet up with someone I never met before. Because, nothing about that last part sounds like a bad idea, right? Harmless. Well, in that case, have I got a story for you... ***A short story created in the spirit of dabbling in a different genre than I normally write in for a contest; the prompt being to tell what happened on a blind date. Please enjoy!***

Will Julia's blind date with Lucas, finally bring some colour in her dark world? Julia Hart had forgotten everything, how the stars stood out against the black expanse of the sky, how the green leaves slowly turned to red and most importantly how her eyes reflected the world. In a blind world, where every second of your life is a risk, how much could it hurt to go on a blind date? Jordan was reluctant to accept a blind date because they always ended terribly even though her best friend promises it'll be different. She wanted to decline yet another date, but her friend ends up talking her into accepting the date. Jordan's not happy but it beats spending another Friday night alone. Will this leave her with the feeling of love or another broken heart ? As said in the title this is a Romance Writing. I am doing this for fun and possibly a sequel if I feel interested enough but knowing me and because of my writing it might suck. So Sorry if it does but if you like the story then follow me or comment on the book so here goes nothing and everything! Also if I don't update for a while if this does become a sequel I am terribly sorry because I am a high school sophomore.

"Go Jace !" Kimmy basically pushed me out of my own house after forcefully dressing me up and doing my make-up. She'd gotten one of her friends to get me a date, both of us knew had no clue who he was, heck we didn't even know the guys name. Kimmy didn't ask because she wanted it to be 'the blindest a blind date could get' (her words). The only information I was given access to was where he was and what he was wearing tonight. I tried everything I could to avoid going but she insisted that I needed to get over my ex and no matter how many 'I'm over him,' speeches I gave we both clearly that knew I was lying. I'd been hung up on him for about two years and didn't want to get back into dating especially not blind dates because...well...we all know how those go. I reluctantly got into my car and not so long after I was at the restaurant parking. The most unforgettable date Jace ever has. Her date is someone...from her past??

I'm entering this in The Blind Date writing contest. I've never done one of these (and honestly I'm not sure I've even entered it correctly), but I hope so! It was pretty fun writing this and I may end up turning Holly and Will's story into a full length later. We shall see! :)
