Robin wishes she could take a moment to realize how much she would miss Hawkins despite all the shit that goes down here. Yet she can't help but stare at all the people she has grown fond of, and wonder when will be the last time she'll see them. "Why so glum?" Steve leaned into her. The blonde screeched, trying to remain standing. "Thinking about what we're going to do when everyone is separated." "Geeze, you talk like we're all going to die, we have winter break remember?" "I guess your right," Robin grumbled, diverting her eyes. "Why so glum?" Robin sighed, exasperated. "I swear to god, Steve-" Robin met Nancy's gaze, freezing when she realized Steve was no longer at her shoulder. Instead, he was trying to pick up a box while miserably failing. Eventually they both break up with their existing boyfriend/ girlfriend and start dating each other. Robin is also autistic.

Robin was previously best friends with Nancy Wheeler. Keyword, previously. As a result, Robin stares at the back of the girl's head as they sit in English class, pretending Robin doesn't exist. Every day is torture, and Robin finally gets a chance to escape the girl's honey-like voice and soft hair. They have a new job at Scoops Ahoy, and every day they get closer and closer to running away from the hell-hole that is Hawkins. Yet their plans crash and burn as Nancy re-inserts herself in Robin's life, ultimately putting a bump in the road and a migraine in Robin's head. (Robin uses they/them in this story.)
