Lands that have not been touched by the inhabitants of their land for thousands, possibly even millions of years. *Disclaimers* This is a fanfiction based on Christopher Paolini's Inheritance Cycle (also known as the Eragon Series to many in the fandom). This book will overlap with the fourth book slightly, however it is mainly my idea as I have twisted the ending of the last book (Inheritance).

Maria is the daughter of Galbatorix. one day when she is wandering through his castle she accidentally stumbles across a fourth dragon egg that no one but her father had been aware he had. when the egg starts to hatch for her she knows she will have to either leave the empire or be forced to serve her father. she knows of the many horrid things her father had done and she refuses to follow in his footsteps. what will happen when she eventually finds the varden and meets Eragon Shadeslayer.

This poem is based on Christopher Paolini's Inheritance book. It is the fourth and for the time being the last book of the inheritance cycle. It is based on Arya's feelings after the end. I met Christopher on 11/06/2012, a mere three weeks after writing and posting this poem here. I never believed I would meet him. You know the story. The beginning and the end. A lone Rider and dragon prevailing against impossible odds. But what if they were changed? Another pair that takes up the mantle of responsibility and makes a mark on Alagaësia in their own way? What if Eragon had a twin sister and in the Spine, they found a red stone instead? What changes, then, starting from the very beginning? ======================================== An Inheritance Cycle fanfiction/rewrite, written in such a way that even those unfamiliar with the series can read without issue! An OC insert at the beginning of the first book where the difference in character, personality, and actions cause this story to diverge from the one we know slowly. Some of the first chapters are more or less simple edited copies of actual chapters from the books, mainly because there was simply not much to change. But as the story diverges, so will the chapters. Currently, I plan to rewrite the entirety of the first book, but that is a pretty huge goal, so we'll see. Did you hate the end of Inheritance the last Eragon book? I did. So I decided to make a 5th book. In this book, Eragon feels the need to go back to his home and see Roran and Arya,but since reading his future he knew he couldn't go back to Alagaesia.

This is a series of one-shots I thought of as to how Roran discovers Eragon's secret. Well dragon rider secret anyway. Definitely not the basic Eragon fanfic. More revolving around already happened but could have occurred. Depending on which gets the best reaction I may or may not create that one-shot into an actual story. Well, they are kinda stories already. But it's a long one shot or short story. Your choice. Still comment on it though. Rambling again. Sorry. Comment, follow, and/or vote if you enjoy. Once more, they shall fight, and face the growing darkness. Before you read: I have made extensive use of the Ancient language for the magic in this book.
